The Shabbat of LimmudFest NOLA brings an awe-inspiring confluence of themes and intimations of meaning that point the way to inclusive community. It is the Shabbat of Torah portion Vayakhel-P'kude, teaching that each one is needed in raising up the desert sanctuary, the Mishkan. It is Shabbat M'vorchin, the Shabbat of Blessing the new moon, through whose blessings we bless each other and affirm the bond that joins us. It is Shabbat Ha'chodesh, the Shabbat of the Month, the way opening toward Pesach, as we hand in hand set out on the journey to freedom. And it is the Shabbat of completing the Book of Sh'mot/Exodus; on hearing its last words, we sing out "chazak, chazak, v'nitchazek/be strong, be strong,"
